The excavation breakthrough event between Head Race Tunnel (HRT) Face 6 and Face 7 which is the most critical component in the completion of the project was graced by Dasho Karma Y. Raydi, CEO-DHI, Dasho Chhewang Rinzin, Managing Director-DGPC, Dasho Dzongdag-Trongsa Dzongkhag Administration, CEO-CDCL, CEO-DHyE, Board Directors of THyE, Tangsibji Gewog Administration and officials from DGPC, MHPA, CDCL and HCC on December 14, 2022. With the excavation breakthrough of HRT Face 6 and Face 7 which is the most critical in completion of the project, the uncertainties related to excavation in the project have been eliminated. The project commissioning is expected by December 2023.”
